I have no idea how they found me but the promoters for Ethan Hawke’s new documentary SEYMOUR: AN INTRODUCTION—a film about a virtuoso pianist who gave up a successful concert career to teach music—offered me four pairs of free tickets to the pre-opening screening at AMC Boston. It looks like a wonderful and moving about being passionate about music, teaching, art, life!
The pre-screening is tomorrow (Thursday) night at AMC Boston Common, 7 pm, first-come, first-served seating so the earlier you can get there, the better. If you’re interested in going, contact me asap.
Hi Julie,
Thank you for your kind invitation. Regrettably, Maggie and I have a full plate this evening and will not be able to make it.
I hope that you remember us with the next such opportunity as we would be delighted to join you in a music related event.
I believe that you were selected for the tickets because of your reputation as a dedicated and inspiring teacher.
Walter.

Walter! I believe I was selected because of a good Google search (plus I’m on Twitter, Facebook, etc.) but thank you so much for the compliment! The movie will be out in wide release soon.
Here’s a link to a story about it on the Today Show this morning: http://www.today.com/popculture/ethan-hawke-im-hypnotized-pianist-seymour-bernstein-2D80545256
