Hot off the presses! Just found out from a piano family about this great FREE event for kids this Saturday at the Old Firehouse Trust in Dock Square in Rockport. Not to be missed!!
Here’s the details from the website:
Saturday, May 16, 10 AM
Instrument Petting Zoo
If you have ever wanted to experience playing the instruments seen and heard on the stage of the Shalin Liu Performance Center, now is your chance! Experienced professionals and students will be on hand to guide you with the correct way to hold and make music on many of the instruments of the string family, as well as instruments of the brass and woodwind families, and a Celtic harp. It is sure to be a cacophony of sound, but great fun!
Location: Old Firehouse Trust, Dock Square, Rockport
Free, no tickets required.
Here’s a pic right off last year’s program of one of my piano students checking out the harp!!
Following the Instrument Petting Zoo is another free event, a brass quintet concert, for families at noon over at the Shalin Liu.
More info on both these events at their website.
